You need a box for tur dal. It should let you see how much dal there is. It should be easy to handle. The lid should fit snugly so the dal is kept fresh, but it should open readily so it won’t make you all hot and bothered when you’re cooking. It should let you measure out dal without spilling any of it. And it should do all this prettily, because your kitchen is a no-go zone for boredom.
